Biography
The wordy third of Two Dollar Guitar in solo flight for the first time. Lower in key but not without its own unique intensities, Hotel Opera was borne of impulses and circumstances which converged during downtime between Two Dollar Guitar's 1996 opus Burned and Buried, and the mixing of the band's pair of forthcoming albums. Herein lie 11 rambling / ephemeral soul-ballads, scored for some recent additions to the Foljahn instrument arsenal; not untouched by the ghosts of anglo-folk past, yet still showing the familiar bold nods to classic Americana.
